As followers of Jesus, there are certain core beliefs, which we hold to be so trustworthy that one could literally stake their current life and eternal destiny on their truthfulness. In fact, that’s what we are actually doing at North Coast Family Fellowship! So to start with, you should know that these beliefs, that mean so much to us,

come straight out of the Bible. And while there’s a lot more we could share with

you about what the Bible fully says on each of these foundational concepts, we want

to offer you this short version so you can know where we are coming from and also to invite you to enter into further study and dialog with us. After all, these topics really do deal with the most important issues of life. Read on and then, if you’re interested,

we’d love to talk more …

The Bible

Its called the Word of God because the Old & New Testaments are God's communication to all people. It is completely true. The key to experiencing the magnificence of God and life at its best is to learn and live by the principles found in the Bible.

Jesus Christ

There is no one like Jesus. He has always existed as God in Heaven,

but then He came to Earth conceived of the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin named Mary. Merry Christmas! As such, Jesus is, miraculously and uniquely,

fully God and fully human.

Getting Back Together With God

Jesus came to bridge the gap in relationship between God and us. He died on the cross as the perfect payment for all our sin and physically resurrected from the dead to prove He can and will give eternal life to all who follow Him.

Happy Easter! When we prayerfully place our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and surrender to Him as God and Savior, then we are (as the Bible puts it) born again. From that point on we begin a relationship journey through life with Jesus seeking to follow him in our beliefs and behaviors.

Jesus' Church

When we choose to follow Jesus, He makes us part of the Church, which is made up of all Christians everywhere. He also tells us to enter into the community relationship of a church, which is a local gathering of believers found in millions of specific places around the world. Within these localized church gatherings of community, Jesus leads each of us to love God, to love one another. and to lovingly help the rest of the world to follow Him also. Two really special things that Jesus gave to His followers to do are called baptism and communion. Baptism is when we immerse new Believers in water as we invoke the Name of the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. This action symbolizes the death of our old sinful life and the reality of our new redeemed life in Christ. Communion (the bread and the cup) is our way of commemorating the incredible sacrifice of Jesus  dying for us on the Cross and demonstrating our belief in His promise that we will one day be united with Him in Heaven forever.

Human Sexuality and Marriage

The human race was created in the image of God. God created us as male and female to reflect His image. God ordained that marriage be only between a man and a woman. Marriage is the only proper place for the expression of sexual oneness between human beings. As this relates to LBGTIQ, we love all people and desire that everyone would come to faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as the Savior and God, regardless of their beliefs relating to these issues of human sexuality. At the same time, NCFF believes that the LBGTIQ lifestyle is contrary to God’s will for our lives, as are heterosexual practices such as ... fornication, adultery, pornography, etc.

Genesis 1:27 - God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.

Genesis 2:24 - For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother, and be joined to his wife; and they shall become one flesh.
